When it Comes to Politics, I’m Done

In the past, I have written posts that are of a political nature. Lately, I have tried to steer clear of those types of posts, though it has been difficult as times…

But…. here we are again…. and most likely, for the last time…

In the wee hours this morning, Trump had a melt down about the Christianity Today article saying he should step down.

And I naively though that maybe, just maybe, just maybe, this time he bit off a little more that he could chew.

Silly me….

His supporters are rallying behind him even stronger than before.

So here is the last thing I ever plan to write on the subject of DJT and politics in general.

I am completely dumbfounded as to how anyone can support this man. Yes, unemployment is down, but a lot of people need to have more that one job just to pay the bills. So I’m not sure just how much of a victory this is. But I’ll give him that.

Okay… that about ends the list of his achievements.

On the other side, we are deeper in debt that we have even been (over $23 trillion as of November 2019). 

We are building a wall to keep the people of color out… no plans to do this on the Canadian side of town… good thing race has nothing to do with any of this (cough, cough)…

Environmental protections… hey… who needs those crazy rules! 

News Alert Folks….DJT is not a self-made man. He got his money from his daddy. He has filed for bankruptcy for his companies 6 times, because under Chapter 11 protection, you can renegotiate the terms of your debt.

A good business person would not need to take this route SIX times… maybe once.. perhaps twice… but 6 times!!!! Not unless they were actually a crappy business person… or more likely, they just didn’t want to pay their contractors according to the terms they originally negotiated.

In Trump’s words, Chapter 11 in a business tool afforded to him….

Now when you short change your debtors/contractors, you directly impact their business as well. Often they have to layoff employees, or file bankruptcy themselves. And then then creditors are impacted. And so on… and so on…

So you may think, well hey, maybe DJT had to file bankruptcy because someone he was working with had to file, so it affected him…. it’s not his fault!

Uh… no….

Trump and his business entities are the top of the financial food chain. He hires subcontractors… he is not the subcontractor for anyone. With his personality type, do you think for a moment he would ever allow control of his world to be in the hands of anyone else?

So no… he is not a great businessman. Just because he plays the system in order to cover his ass does not make him a good businessman.

It makes him a greedy, soulless POS.

Which leads into another thing I don’t understand.

His followers honesty believe he his a good and caring man.. a man of God….

Uh… no again….

He doesn’t give a rats ass about anyone but himself. It’s DJT’s world, and we are all just bit players in it. Once we serve his purpose, we are all out on our keisters in a heartbeat.

I seriously believe he would throw any of his kids under the bus if it meant saving his own ass. Even his beloved Ivanka. And especially Don Jr. and Eric… and probably even Barron if it were a viable option.

So don’t believe for a minute he cares in anyway about you.

He is NOT a Christian. He does not attend church unless it serves as a photo op. And don’t say he doesn’t have time. He sent a record 115 tweets and retweets on December 12 alone. For the most part, all he does is tweet, golf and have self-gratifying rallies. And the requisite “meet and greet” with a world leader.

He has cheated on all of his wives on countless occasions. He wants to grab women by the pussy.

BTW… “grab ’em by the pussy…” this in not locker room talk. This is how a sexually insecure misogynist talks. One that doesn’t have clue one on how to satisfy a woman.

He hates women. Just because he flirts with women does not mean he likes them (please refer back to the previous 2 sentences).

Do you really believe in your heart that this man represents Christian values?

As for his supporters that are fond of throwing out statements like, “Hillary did this…” or “Obama did that..” 

Let’s pretend for one moment that Obama and Hillary did everything that everyone has every accused them of…

HOW DOES THAT DEFEND WHAT TRUMP IS DOING???

Families are being separated at the border. Please don’t say they shouldn’t have come here, why should they expect any different…

Because we used to welcome “huddled masses yearning to be free”… that’s why…

And we used to be human beings as well….

And can everyone just shut the hell up about having Obamacare “forced” upon us… 

I personally know of around a dozen people that NEVER went to the ACA website to see what kind of insurance plans they could get, because, well… Obama….

And these same people continue to bitch non-stop about the price of healthcare…for nearly a decade. Because they don’t realize that the ACA is there to benefit them!

Nearly all of these people would have gotten a subsidy. And if you wouldn’t have gotten one… Congratulations! You’re making a living wage!

Because of the ACA, my best friend was able to afford her monthly healthcare payments. When she was diagnosed with cancer, her insurance covered her time in and out of the hospital and her radiation treatments. She didn’t have to sell her home to pay these bills. And now that she has left us, her home has been passed along to 4 of her young cousins, so that they might have a chance to own homes of their own some day. 

The truth is, we need universal healthcare in this country. And guess what… the cost of universal healthcare would probably impact myself more that most of you because, thanks to the fact that my husband spent 26 years in the military, I have extremely low insurance premiums through Tricare. 

But you see, I wouldn’t mind paying higher taxes, if it meant saving peoples lives, and making sure they didn’t lose everything they had spent their lives working for just because of circumstances that are, most often times, completely out of their control.

Another thing, climate change is not a hoax. And if you think that because it snowed one day in the desert, this is definitive proof there in no such thing as climate change, please… PLEASE.. read up on the subject… especially if you have children and grandchildren. What kind of world are you leaving them….

But here is what really upsets me….

I do believe that many, if not most of his supporters realize, deep down somewhere inside of theirselves, that Trump is a mentally disturbed, demented individual. And for whatever reason, individual to them, they will believe in him no matter what.

Now that has got to extremely screw up your soul…

And that’s why there is so much anger and vitriol in the world today.

So I am begging you… please… STOP believing in this man. For your own sake. It is killing you… rotting you from within…..

So now, I am done with the topic of politics.

You can all discuss as you like, just not with me. 

I will turn and walk away from any and all discussions, be on it on the left or the right.

I honestly don’t believe that our country will ever recover from this, certainly not in my lifetime.

And that’s okay.

I believe our time here is fleeting… and that we should be spending out time lifting ourselves and those around us upward.

And as I get older, I just don’t have the strength to deal with the mundane…. there is such a larger picture in front of me.

And I chose to focus on that.
