A Follow Up to Yesterday’s Rant
I know that my previous rant, “What About My Rights” did not fall under the category of “Lead with Love.”
I admit… I was frustrated. Understandable, after 4 months of lockdown, but still not acceptable.
I did go back and change some of the text. I shouldn’t use disparaging language, even if I disagree with someone’s opinions or choices.
But I still stand by what I said.
If we just all wore a mask when in public, and I mean all of us, and try to maintain a safe distance from each other, we could probably go back to life as we knew it… back to work… back to hair salons, evenings on the town with friends, the whole shebang. Just wearing an additional accessory. No big whoop…
And it is incredibly frustrating when folks can’t do this. I really do not understand.
The vaccine is coming… thanks to the research team at the University of Oxford, we may have it by this fall.
It seems like such a very small sacrifice to don a mask for a few months more so that we can all start to reconnect.
I know the post was about me personally, but I can’t begin to imagine just how many others are frustrated but the lack of contact with the ones they love.
So I will leave it there. No more ranting.
Just be safe. You are loved.
