It’s Okay to Have a Mini-Meltdown
I had a mini-meltdown last Friday.
It happens to all of us. Especially now.
My husband and I were having a lovely morning, and then he said something I took the wrong way and off I was to Meltdown Manor.
I changed clothes, grabbed my keys, and said “I’m going for a walk”
(Yes… I am passive aggressive)
I drove to a nearby park, parked the car, turned off the ignition.
And proceeded to lose it.
I cried… I yelled… over and over…. It was kind of a “rinse and repeat” thing. It went on for quite sometime…
And it was so cathartic.
I’m sure that a few folks wondered about the crazy lady in the black sedan… which is fine…
And maybe I inspired a someone to do the same.
Folks, things are a little crazy right now. No one is sure how long this COVID-19 situation will last. It will pass eventually, and the world will probably be quite different.
And that will also be cathartic. If you let it.
I think we may all need to go for a drive every now and then, and get all the crazy out of our systems. Take turns. Let the kids know it’s okay to let it out. It’s normal and healthy.
It’s just another way to take care of yourself. And you are worth it.
