A Curious thing happened today…
I posted the following tweet earlier today…
As you can see, it has a bit of a reaction.
Now my tweet was in response to Donald Trump retweeting the Epstein conspiracy theory, claiming Clinton a connection. My intent was to say that if we were going to start pointing fingers, it would make more sense to point them in the direction of DJT.
As far as I am concerned, there are a lot of layers to this story, and I hope at least some of them will see the light of day. Plenty of dirt to go around. Jeffrey Epstein was trash. And a whole lot of famous/rich/well connected people didn\’t seem to care and hung out with him anyway. Trump, Clinton and so many more. Epstein\’s behavior was an open secret. There was even a Law & Order: SVU episode based on him made back in 2011.
I reviewed some of the comments to my tweet. As you might assume, they were all over that place.
The funny thing about the tweet… all I did was state facts. I didn\’t state an opinions, thought I know one was inferred. But still… just facts. Everyone just drew their own conclusions.
One of the first steps to becoming a writer is to find your \”voice.\” This is something that I have struggled with, which I am sure is quite common. I write from the heart, which makes it difficult to convey all that is in there, in a way that most can understand.
I was so much better at that when I was younger. I know that as time as passed, my \”voice\” has most likely changed, yet I have still been trying to rediscover that voice of my younger self.
But that has probably been the wrong approach. Maybe my voice of today is one that should just put out facts. I doubt my tweet today got anyone to question their thinking. And Twitter is definitely not the best forum to promote self-reflection in others…
But maybe I can someday get a few folks to start a conversation… get them to share their thoughts. Maybe we can find common ground. Maybe we can make a real difference…
Baby steps….
