Regarding Religion… whose side are YOU on

I refuse to believe that we must live in a world where you must choose sides. But because we do live in this type of world, we live in constant conflict.

This concept needs to cease to exist:

My religion is right and yours is wrong

(so I am going to heaven and you are going to hell)
(so everything I do is justified)
Wrong, wrong, wrong…

First off… if you really believe that the deity your worship wants you to have this mind set, then either you or your deity is a douche.

My vote is that you be da douche.

Second, do you really believe that your Deity only loves some of their children? Do you believe that a child that worships you blindly should kill your other child that worships you in a different way or not at all?

Again, if you really believe that…. just refer to the previous comment.

I am not a believer in a particular theology. What I do believe is that there is a grand scheme to all of this, and that life does go on after worldly death.

But beyond that, none of us actually knows anything…. and that is okay.

If there is a higher power (which again, I think there is), they are a whole lot smarter than we are, and can understand things we can’t. The macro vs. the micro.

So get over yourself.
