Donald Trump – An Apprentice seeking to be CEO of the US
We are a little over a week away from election day 2016. Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton (et al).
It’s been a wild ride. Friendships have been tested and destroyed. Facebook accounts have been unfollowed and unfriended.
Though not confirmed, I suspect the sales of Tum’s and Prilosec have skyrocketed. Should have bought stock in these.
On November 8th, I will be casting my vote for Hillary Clinton.
She was not my first choice. I was holding out hope, even the first few days for the DNC convention, that somehow, we would all rally behind Bernie Sanders.
But Hillary is the Democratic nominee. And on the right, we have Donald Trump.
I have friends, acquaintances and co-workers that are behind this man 100%.
I also know many people that will be voting for Trump, simply because they hate Hillary, and her husband, and her email server, and her pantsuits.
Now you can hate Hillary Clinton, that’s okay. But it doesn’t mean you have to defend Trump. But for many folks, that is what is happening. They will rationalize his actions in ways that make little sense. Just because of their anger at Hillary Clinton.
So it seem like both sides will say the same thing about the candidate they oppose:
- They are arrogant
- They are hateful
- They are only concerned about themselves
- They are a criminal
But here is the difference…
Donald Trump is COMPLETELY unqualified to be the most powerful person in the world. He has NO IDEA what needs to be done to be the leader of the free world.
Here are a few quotes that make this painful obvious:
- “I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me.”
- “An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud”
- “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”
- “It’s freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming!”
- “My fingers are long and beautiful, as, it has been well documented, are various other parts of my body.”
- “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

If that doesn’t explain the problem, let me put this another way…
Trump’s fame grew because of his TV show “The Apprentice.” On this show, people competed to become “The Apprentice” to someone that had been in business for 30+ years.
The winner DID NOT become the CEO of Trump Industries. They became “The Apprentice.” It didn’t matter if they were successful in other walks of life…. they became “The Apprentice.”
Is this sinking in?
People say “Look how successful he is!!”, which is debatable, but let’s say that’s true.
That does not mean he is qualified to be the President of the United States of America.
I know people want to shake up the system. I do too. But I find it hard to believe there in not one Republican out there that is currently in the business of politics that would be able to shake up the system.
Change can happen over night, but when it does, it is usually catastrophic.
We need change. This is something most of us can agree with. But not like this.
