All These Assassination Attempts

Yeah… about that…

So yesterday, there was yet another shooter trying to make their way to DJT.

It certainly does seem like this is happening quite frequently.

And always at timely, talking-point times. Hmmm… interesting…

Now, you cannot tell me that there were not as many people out there looking to take out Barack Obama as there are Trump.

Here’s the difference. At least in my opinion.

The intelligence mechanisms that we have in place to detect those planning to do harm to our public servants and our country are all still there, and working just fine. Not perfect, but pretty damn well.

Even though we have folks in charge that are less than competent/qualified, the people in these agencies are still hard-working, intelligent folks. They are quite good at their jobs.

I think the difference might be just how this information is used.

Instead of quietly subduing the individuals (and it’s always an individual, not a group), they are allowing the primary safety net to be dropped enough to let them proceed with their attempts.

There are so many security measures in place, getting to the target is quite difficult.

But when it happens, damn… it does make for good press fodder.

So… let’s say…someone has a driving need to have a Ballroom built for security purposes. And they want yet another opportunity to spotlight this to their base.

Time to let one of the wannabe assassins loose.

Of course, you need to be in the proximity of said attempt for it to have a bigger impact. So you decide to stay “home” instead of attending your son’s wedding.

I really hate sounding like a conspiracy theorist.

But when the people that have been promoting conspiracy theories for decades are finally in power, you have to assume they are creating some crazy ass scenarios.

If this is what is happening, it’s truly disgusting.

But what is worse, is that in Butler PA, one person died and 2 others were critically injured.

At the Correspondent’s Dinner, a Secret Service Agent was shot.

And yesterday, at the White House, a bystander was wounded.

Just collateral damage I guess.

Because we just gotta have that Ballroom.
